This is to inform the forum of the following:

1. After the recent brew-ha-ha, I have decided to buy Replicraft materials. I highly recommend the service and quality products, from a dedicated gentleman.
2. Replicraft is not shut down, nor will it be.
3. There is a "high road" to life in general and specifically in certain situations. I am thoroughly convinced Jim Kiger is attempting to traverse that route on all fronts, with dignity.

I agree with you Charlie. I bought the SE5a drawings from Jim and found them quite good. Jim seems to be a conscientious draftsman and an asset to the WW1 aviation community. Jim is certainly not out to make a buck based on his very reasonable prices. Do yourselves a favour and check out Replicraft.

I am, too, very impressed by his kindness and quality of work he does.

I have got a copy of his entire set of drawings for the D.VII for free from him, to share my comments on these with him.

I can only recommend this work not only for the builder of museum quality display models...

Does anyone know if Replicraft will be offering Spad X111 drawings anytime soon? I heard there was a possibility of this on a different web site. Thanks in advance.

It is my understanding that he will.

In September Mr. Kiger had written to me and stated:

"I have been working on the SPAD XIII for FIVE years now and could be as much as six more months to finish,it is VERY complex and has at least twice as many parts as the SE5a.
It could end up being ten to twelve sheets which of course means it will cost more.
I think if an idividual tried to build this ship it would take eight to ten years and cost at least two hundred thousand dollars.Of course a team effort would be better .
It will be posted on my website as soon as available.
REGARDS
JIM"

I'm certainly looking forward to seeing these finished. Always loved the look of the Spad.

I have seen some of the preliminary drawings of the SPAD. It is an impressive effort. Quite a construction feat, especially the "tobaggon". Roger Freeman has been contracted to build a SPAD XIII and you are certainly welcome to come by our facility to see it take shape. I look at the Fokker D.VII and the SPAD XIII and the difference in philosophy is staggering. You could probably build 10 D.VII fuselages in the same time it took to make one SPAD.
