And here again a few pictures of the E.V

The rotary-engine with propeller. The engine is not finished yet painted, there's missing a few little things.
I have the prop once again painted with artists' colors, dark brown, light brown, orange, red and black.
As a template I used the image at the bottom of page 26 in Windsock Datafile No.25
The hub I used a leftover DR.1 Roden propeller.

Who of you still have good eyes can see, that the cowling must have a hard use behind them. You can see some small dents on it.

@ All
Thank you for the flowers, friends!:blush:

@Lowell Throttle:
The Rotary-engine is not ready yet, --spark plugs, weathering and other small items are not yet painted.

The AVIS-kit is actually quite good, excellent surface detailing and the kit parts are cleverly divided.
However, many parts such as wings, engine and cockpit interiors give the impression as if they were produced in the "Short-run" procedure.

My EV is a mixture of the AVIS and a Fokker D.VI Roden kit. For this I used engine-parts, Spandau's, Tailplane and many parts of the cockpit interior.

Even the decals are unfortunately the bad qualities of Roden's decals have inherited, which are made for the dustbin.
But Doug Baumann has helped me out with his outstanding Lozenge-Decal, many thanks to Doug at this point !!!!!

Lowell, I would recommend you AVIS kit anyway, which is a nice little airplane that necessarily belongs to any WW1 collection. ;)

@terri werner
Many thanks, terri.
I hope that, like the final product as well. :blush:

@Doug
................... I'm back now, Doug.

(I was just too lazy to model building ....) :D

@Gregory
Hi Gregory, thank you very much.
You can make the dents with the edge of a small diamond or needle file ore an Dremmel.
Subsequently, the sharp edges with sand-paper and steel-wool to smooth something. When this painting you can saddle with silver or aluminum paint to emphasize something.

On my DR.1 and F.1 cowling of the undercoating, I used always Mr.Metal-color No.:213 "stainless". When the good old Mr. Metal-color was dry, I polished to a high-gloss surface and then with olive (or whatever) overpainted. When everything is dry, you can make fine scratches with steel-wool (No.: 000) into the surface to show the Aluminum.

Thank you Bob,
but would like to admit that I read inspire me in some detail (small "window" with serial number on the upper wing) from your Dreidekker
Since I am about to "recreate" this in my F.1 upper wing :blush:

Bertl,
You are most welcome.
We all learn from each other in here. That's the beauty of this hobby and the collective passion we all share for the Great Aerial War of Old. ;)

Happy days!,

@bob_buckles

You're right, Bob ........... I'm learning every time a lot of things, when I look at the pictures of all of you here.

Here, the rudder is from the Fokker E.V

First, I painted a layer of Tamiya "flat white" XF-2, and then I traced with a black pencil the steel tubing contour, at the end, I painted with very very dilute flat-white several thin layers.
The 2nd rudder is the rudder from the Fokker F.1 "Werner Voss".
