Cobby's Camel E7267. Kit is revell's 1/72. Brass rod for struts after the original ones broke.
The cowling is masked and sprayed and the other markings are got from other kits or printed on guitar decal sheet which works out much cheaper than the same "modelling" product. Not a great build compared to what you see on here but I thought it was an interesting profile.

I think its a great build! Not that many Allied planes with interesting schemes so this one caught my eye.

In 72nd scale to boot!

Too kind. All I see is glue stains and missing bits of rigging, no control horns yadda yadda yadda
But I guess spotting them is a sign of progress :)

At least I did fix the lower dihedral and measure the struts and use a jig for alignment. Things look much better square, I must say. Got plenty of practice, I re-jigged it 4 times :)

Since you ask Doug, rigging is 2lb fishing line painted white. And for control lines a fine smoke monofilament I found at the dress making shop in the high street. It is really fine. You could put half a dozen strands through a .3mm hole.

I love the scheme. You would just feel like the mutts nuts buzzing around the poor student pilots in a kite like that. The instructors all got decent schemes. Post war is the time Allies have really varied schemes like this.

Thanks again folks, I've learned lots lurking on here, so I thought I'd post something back.

Jaypee,
Not to worry modelers are usually our own worst critics. We all see fault were most don't.The Important thing is that you learn from the as you say the yadda, yadda, yadda stuff and improve the skills on your next project.Actually there are two important things at play here, the second is to have fun modeling .Do those two simply things and you're off to the races. Looking forward to seeing your next project.

Flying instructors NEEDED schemes like this. They required to be highly visible to make them stand out from the other students, to identify who to follow, who to form up on, who was the "hun". Les Holden flew an all red SE5a to identify himself readily. Some great colour schemes out there for flight instructors.

There was evidently an all Mauve painted Camel as well. Would love to see more instructors schemes. Blue Rider sets are still available in 1:72 & 1:48. I have done their "Dimps III".
