We will be starting a PBEM game soon for WWI combat. Well will be using a spreadsheet program to run the flight model. Anyone interested in playing can contact me. The information on the game itself is located at:

I hope to see a large air battle. You will fly only one aircraft. Anyone wishing to fly the DR1 or the camel better understand the rotary effects or you will crash and burn! You do not need the spreadsheet to play, just a way to view jpeg's and a way to record your stick and rudder movements so you don't forget. Turnaround will be at the rate of the slowest player!

Who designed the board game/spread sheet flight model? Is this related to Canvas Falcons or Birds of Prey?

It is based somewhat on Fighting Wings from Clash of Arms. This is why he doesn't market it. Anyway it is attempting to merge a realistic flight model with board/minitures games. This keeps the player from counting hexes etc. Instead you actually fly the plane. Think of it as a flight sim without the graphics!

Did he use the a/c stats from Canvas Falcons? Have you seen the Canvas Falcons website? It is at http://home.att.net/~CanvasFalcon/CanvasFa...cons.html
It (http://home.att.net/~CanvasFalcon/CanvasFalcons.html
It) was the JD Webster endorsed version of WW I Fighting Wings series. All rules and stuff are down loadable.
