Good afternoon everyone,
I hope this finds everyone well. I have recently returned to my 100 Squadron research after a pro-longed break.
I am currently looking at the formation of the squadron, in February 1917. Ostensibly mobilised at South Farnborough, the new crews for 100 were trained by No.51 Sqn, then a Home Defence outfit based at RFC Harling Road.
Does anyone have the records for No.51 Sqn at the time? My question is this - did the 100 Sqn crews travel to Harling Road for training (which I suspect is the case, but can find no provenance) or did the No.51 Sqn crews fly down to South Farnborough to provide the training?
Many thanks for any help anyone can offer.
Best wishes,
Greg
