Am reading a book titled 'Death Was Their Co-Pilot (https://amzn.to/40JmuJG)' by Michael Dorflinger.
On Page 72 he writes:
"In 1918 they (German Flak) shot down 748 aircraft, twice as many as the best Jagdstaffel had achieved throughout the whole war. The German Flak shot down a total of 1,588 aircraft and two (2) dirigibles in the War."
Interesting claim, but no footnotes provided.
Anyone any idea if the above figures are close to the truth? Allowing of course for the usual overclaiming evident in any action.
Do we have any figures for Allied Flak claims? French or British?
