I know that there are folks out there who might be willing to purchase the CAD files or fixtures for those parts.

My intension is to either sell off the entire WWI collection, or if their is no interest in that, then scrapping it all. My current situation of closing up my business is much larger than anyone outside my family knows There is a large amount of junk, collectables, stuff that my father has collected in his life within 3 buildings. This is a personal, and family decision.

Sopwith Rotary engine mount, front and rear. These are built like the originals, all formed, only welded where the originals were. There are several punch and die sets I developed to form all the flanges. The dies could be run in a large press, or manually used on the bench. This old wimpy 170lb man manually formed them 3 months after a quadruple bypass. So not that hard to do.

Control Grips for DRI. Also have made a couple DVII. Have CAD files and tube forming tooling.
For anyone interested in possibly taking up the business, I have several requests right now to build up 5 or 6 grip assemblies for DRI, DVII, and DVIII. There are also a couple of orders for Forks, Ball and Socket sets for DRI and DVIII. Some requests for Spad parts too.
Here is another product I have wanted to produce for some time, but workload and life have intervened. These could be sold to both aviation and naval collectors, builders etc.

Bamburg compass. There are several variations, with different style Dial faces, lubber lines and lighting. I have many pictures, and complete CAD files, with CAD mockup of the casting patterns. I did not do the Dial face graphics. There are a few online sellers of compasses that may buy in bulk. Pricing and profit margin would be good for a run of 100 or more.

All my CAD files are Solidworks, but I can save them in a different format. CAM files are all Mastercam, and any CNC mill fines are setup for MHP controls. There are files for many small one off parts and fixture I made. This is all work that any confident toolmaker or machinist could do.
If anyone is seriously interested in the entire collection let me know. Will hold on to it until November.

Hello Again Vet!
First, sorry to hear that you're closing down. A real loss of talent to the WWI aviation builder's world, indeed!
Hey, you might be following here on the Aerodrome Forum under "Aircraft" that I've recently been releasing my "FOKKER DR.I TRIPLANE STRUCTURAL RESEARCH" drawings to share with others. To add to them, I'm just finishing drawing (CADD) the Dr.I control stick drawing, but I could use some more research information on the "CONTROL GRIP" that's bolted on the top of the control stick. BTW, I still have my fabulous replica Dr.I Triplane control stick "CONTROL GRIP" that you'd fabricated for me previously. Any chance now that you'd be willing to share with me your drawings or documents on it so I can finish my CADD drawing of it?
Here's my email address:

Thanks again Vet!
