That was an impressive level of control that was exhibited by that
Nieuport 28 replica. From a distance it looks stock but the inboard disc brakes and tail wheel are virtually invisible until you get up close. :cool:

Is the tail 'skid' steerable?

Yes it is but only minor. Brakes and other modern stuff, like a transponder is needed to get it in the air and doing overland flights.
